Fresh air meets fabulously furnished spaces.
When I first laid eyes upon this family home, a few words came to mind: welcoming, cozy, fun, cheerful, authentic… life is lived in this home. Beautifully lived. Nothing is untouchable, and there are many surprises indoors and out to make one take a second look. And of course, if you have been reading Haute Design for a little while now, you will know that I adore children, and was happy to see this home has such playful nurseries, and that the little ones who live here truly enjoy country life…

And speaking of children, you may recall that I had shared that we opened a Leuie pop-up shop within Vancouver over Christmastime. Thanks to the wonderful support and kindness from the neighbourhood, and other locals within the Vancouver area, we are thrilled to share that we have turned the Leuie pop-up shop into a permanent boutique! What a way to start the new year!

Dearest Sarah,
ReplyDeleteFirst off, congrats to your permanent boutique Leuie!
Funny to see those beams in ceilings again. The home I am born in and grew up in is over 100 years old and the first remodeling my Dad did was to cover up those beams. Styles for interiors go in waves; smooth ceilings and than again the wooden beams are back.
Enjoy your weekend!
Mariette
Hello Mariette!
DeleteThank you so much :) The home you grew up in sounds lovely from what I gather, and I cannot help myself—I love beamed ceilings… especially the rustic kind.
Hope you had a lovely weekend!
The picture with a pony in a room is just too funny. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I will need to come and see it for myself on my next trip to Vancouver. I adore this house! such a great, beautiful house
ReplyDeleteI would love to finally meet you, Francine! I believe you would enjoy the shops on either side of us as well :) Let me know if you will be skiing, or just visiting in general. xx
DeleteI haven't seen anything quite so magical in a long time. Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure—hope all is well, Jo :) I have been thinking of you! x
DeleteWhat a dream Home, it looks like the ideal place to bring children up. Congrats on your boutique, I've always wanted to visit Vancouver as I've heard it's really beautiful, a visit to Leuie will be on my list!.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sara—I hope you can visit—it is quite beautiful here :)
DeleteA lovely house - so stylish, warm and welcoming for adults and children alike! And congratulations on your new shop.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lindsey!
DeleteI love the bedroom with the tree seeming to grow up from the headboard. It's magical.

It's wonderful, the dreaminess of the home doesn't conflict with it's being a good place to really do things - with plants, books, children and animals (though I'm sure the pony really can't be inside that much!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Leuie's success, too! -
