Photography: Prue Ruscoe

An interior that certainly calls for a second look.

Perhaps thanks to the intriguing details in shape and texture—the oversized key and intriguing vignette alongside the sofa, the heavenly neutral mantle, the bright red metal chairs around the grand kitchen table, and the gorgeous outdoor living area—this home certainly requires a second look, don't you think?

I find myself quite intrigued by a home that takes pleasure in juxtaposition and combining objects and surroundings in unique and intriguing ways. Furthermore, every space, every corner, really, seems to hold pleasure in the element of surprise and delight. And while there are some pieces that are not favorites, the overall look and feel is certainly lovely. What are your thoughts on this home?

    1. That is so true, Sande—everything seems like it ought to be there, because it is somehow a part of the lives that live there, rather than just another purchased item that anyone could have bought :) xxoo

  6. I love the eclecticism and sense of adventure that this space exudes. Just fabulous. Which I could be as bold - I usually err on the side of caution and opt for minimalism and neutral colours.

  11. Ohh that pool! Just divine. Some people live with such beauty - it must be wonderful! Ivy-covered walls are always a treat - makes me think of that lovely Diptyque perfume - do you know the one? Inspired by ivy, I forget the name. Anyway - lovely start to my weekend gazing at your blog post. Lou x
