As soft and subtle as butter.
Sometimes, we crave bright, full colors are vibrantly fresh and offer the intensity and zest for life to wake us up in the morning with a punch of life. And yet, other times, the softness of a more subtle space is exactly what we need to calm the senses, and just relax. Relax with a cup of tea in a curtained bed, or while walking indoors and out with flowers from the garden—windows and doors open to the elements—or in the bath, soothing with lavender after a long day. What do you like to do to unwind and simply rest?

I prefer the lighter hues myself! I love that little chandelier for the bathroom... so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese images are all so dreamy! I oscillate between the need colour and a desire for subtlety, but you're absolutely right - we need both!
ReplyDeletethese colours totally make me think of summer, which i need a little of right now! it looks so calm and relaxing, not like the permanent tense of winter and feeling cold!
ReplyDeletethanks darl xx
As much as I love a pop of colour in a neutral-tone decorated room, I couldn't relax in a space with the walls painted in a bright shade. The chandelier is in such a contrast with the worn-out walls, in this lies the beauty of that bathroom. xo
