Interior: Albourne West Sussex

A beautiful location house in the UK.

I believe that I have always admired architecture of the world. What is standard to building a home in one country, is never done in another… what are strict guidelines for designing staircases in one country are not even considered important in another country. The differences are quite interesting. And, having grown up in a family that is involved in the building and renovation of homes and commercial buildings, I have always been fascinated by the many details and guidelines that go into both creating and preserving structures…

And one amazing feature that instant caught my attention within this home are the organic wooden beams within the kitchen area. Completely exposed and left as natural as can be, and in perfect contrast are the pristine white cabinetry that offers main storage areas. What strikes you most about this location home?

  3. Simply delightful. There are so many things that fascinate me in that house, the beams, the floors, all that glassware and the fact how wonderfully homey it looks. It's so personal. And yes, I'd pay a lot for a fireplace in the bedroom!

  10. The kitchen is also to me the fave one. The marble, wood and modern finishing are in perfect combination in this warm room. And what about the exterior construction? Peaked roofs, old brick fachade and big windows! Beautiful, Sarah.

  22. Soooo wonderful! I love how all of the photographs were taken with only natural lighting - even if they were a bit dark. It creates such a mood. All of the white makes this home so serene - and I am really liking how rustic it is, with touches of glamor. What a place to live!
