Interior: Studio Workspace

A clean space with plenty of room for work.

I have always been in favour of light and bright spaces for working environments, particularly as they offer a clean slate for the imagination. Place bright coral and a deep grey next to it, and the colors shine… or a lovely pale pink with a navy—it just works. Beyond color, it allows the mind to breath—even if only in perception. Even in design school, I always appreciated clean tables, walls, and minimal clutter in order to be productive. Not much has changed, though now I have a little more color and warmth in my studio. Taking a closer look at this space above, isn't the copper pipe a fabulous idea for lowering lights, but also, for adding interest?

  3. This is so calm and clean. I love it. And the stump stool is pretty cool. I never really liked them as an interior piece, but I have one sitting in my back yard and it is my favorite place to post. Putting some padding on it is a clever way to make in more indoor appropriate.

  5. Hi Sarah...I really ought to be more daring with white! I love ti, but I always opt for beige or off white. These images show how fabulous it can look just going for the cleanest of all colours! I know I am a bit haphazard with my commenting, a lot going on! But it's always like coming home to check in here. Lou x

  7. This space is lovely. I'd like to see real bookshelves instead of the wallpaper ;-) For me a workspace has to be filled with natural light and I want no clutter, only the things that need to be there.

    Have a beautiful weekend Sarah!

  10. This is such a beautiful workspace. The copper pipe makes it truly unique. I like my workspace to be clean, with minimal design and just a pop of colour to make it brighter. Now I am in an orange colour phase and it works perfectly with the all the white and natural wood my office is decorated in. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Sarah! xo

PS: thank you for asking: I've had some rough weeks, with sad news and different problems, but I'm slowly getting back on track. xo

  11. There's something about copper that i love, the material the color. It make's it suitable in every space, such as in this beautiful and serene workspace. Ha clean workspaces, i'm not good in it, i just seem to clutter things around me to get the inspiration and ideas, and yes sometimes my head is over floating with it, haha, oh well..this works for me.

    Enjoy your weekend.
