Today we take a look at different parts of Belgian photographer, Bieke Claessen's, lovely home. Her beautifully composed kitchen is far cry from my typical choice of a few brights mixed with plenty of neutrals, but perhaps due to the apparently quality and well-planned cabinetry, more rustic, inviting wood table, and large windows that allow for natural light to shine in, I will admit that I appreciate this lovely kitchen…

The remainder of the home seems to be saturated with a inviting warmth by the way of selected colors and textures. As for the living room, the unique compilation of shapes and weights of objects make for quite a gracious and surprising space. (and isn't that children's space sweet as well?) Additionally, that gorgeous bath featured in the last image rightfully deems a second look—desired with a hot cup of tea, plenty of warm water, lavender, and relaxation. What are your thoughts on this home?

Oooh woow wonderfull interiors!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful home - full of contrast and personality.
I adore the crisp freshness of the first few rooms and felt very drawn into the kitchen (no 1) as well as the glassed room.
I was struck by the contrast of the lightness in the 'daytime rooms' versus the drama of the 'evening rooms' and bath.
The contradictions of refined, natural and light against worn, dark and moody is definitely reflecting the moods of a true artist. Fun to study.

I love that sitting room - so grown up and sophisticated and I love how they have left the architraves raw and stained with a natural colour against the dark dramatic walls. And the kitchen.. too rustic for me but I love the light and the storage... never can have too much shelving space! Have a great day! Helen:)
ReplyDeleteI like the black and gold of the second to last picture, and how those colors look less "fancy" when paired with wood.
ReplyDeleteI love the whole house, but the sleeping room inspires me, i am just about to change something in my daughters room, she will adore this style!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part would be the glass greenhouse, what a view. The preserved old details also are gorgeous. I'm not such a fan of what they did to make the seating area so dark, it feels like the mix and match between styles in the rooms isn't harmonic enough.
ReplyDeleteThe conservatory and the garden, as well as the kitchen. Although I have to admit that it's a not a style I would normally go for in an apartment, but for a house somewhere in the countryside that kitchen is more than perfect. :)

Absolute perfection, Sarah. This makes me so happy. xx's
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a bliss! I love the french countryside kitchen and lighthouse (with what seems the most amazing gardens) and I'd love to spend some nights in that colorful bedroom (I don't mind it is for kids, not at all!)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, it's just gorgeous! It's a wonderful mix of sophisticated glam and countryside rustic x
