Interior: Stone Wash

Inhabited by warmth.

Wouldn't you like to take a walk through this passage? Especially on a beautiful day such as this, with the warm sunshine touching upon each surface, slightly masking the otherwise cool weather. The eye immediately turns to the stones that have been hand laid many, many years ago, with greens now beautifully trailing up... indeed, the design of the exterior alone is quite inspiring in itself, but let's go inside!

I have seen a few of these interior photographs elsewhere (such as here and here) but it's also nice to see a few of the other spaces in the home. I could go on about so many of the thoughtful details throughout—the lovely fireplace in the kitchen, the great urns used for storage and in easy reach in the bedroom, but I would love to know, what is your favorite detail or details of this home?

I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend so far!

  1. Reminds me of our Shakespeare Theater here, especially the bath near the gardens. Gorgeous.

  4. It all looks so beautiful and harmonic. One favorite detail would be the grey built in cabinets. And the styling in the bathroom cabinet. Hope you had a great weekend!

  7. As lovely as the interior is, I think I would have to spend most of my time outside, surrounded by those warm stone walls. You described the feeling perfectly.
