Interior: An Artistic Kitchen

A quaint and chic kitchen.

First off, I do hope that you are enjoying this weekend very much! We've just had our first real snowfall as of last evening, and it couldn't be prettier out! I've spent the entire day working away, periodically looking outside to enjoy it all while it lasts. As for this evening's inspiration, this kitchen featured above is most unique and intriguing, with bold architectural detailing as well as a backsplash by Fornasetti —I've really been looking forward to sharing it. It is actually part of the same home as the incredible bathroom and bedroom that you see in the post just below... would you ever create a bold kitchen such as this?

Plus, if you have a chance, stop by {this is glamorous} and read  this week's {take me away} post, which explored three incredible, magical and wintry gardens located throughout England... Also, I am thrilled to share that this {take me away} post has recently been mentioned on Brides.com!

  2. Why yes, I think I would have a kitchen as bold as this - if it was precisely this kitchen! Every meal would be like a little holiday...

And congratulations on the mention on brides.com - you deserve it, your {take me away} posts are truly magical.

  3. I personally like a warmer colour palette and materials in a kitchen, like wood in its natural colour, as I believe that the kitchen must be the most welcoming room in a home and those are a few elements that make me feel very comfortable. How lovely that you finally have snow, Sarah. We haven't yet and I can not believe that we are in the middle of winter and haven't had any. It's one of the beauties of this season. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! xo

  7. So glad I found your blog. Those chairs are amazing, and I love the 3D tiles... they remind me of Escher. So gorgeous, a little gothic, a little mod. Following you now... Thank you for the inspiration!
