A Royal Wedding

Today marks a historical, happy and memorable day.

Without a mere hiccup throughout this momentous event, today marks a very important day in history as Prince William and Kate Middleton spoke their vows and were married. Since their engagement announcement, thousands upon thousands of loyal, romantic hearts have been planning to take part in celebrating the occasion —be it with their own party, a tribute, or simple spoken words of happiness and excitement. And I must admit, I am among them, viewing highlights such as Kate's stunning dress, their vows and departure in the Aston Martin, in muted, blurry tones, with inevitable tears of joy brimming in my eyes. I am so happy for these two and for the many adventures to share and wonderful moments to come...

My appreciation for Katie Ermilio and her delightful designs first began upon viewing the feature on her lovely home and studio in Rue magazine a few months ago. She is so evidently stylish, with inherent qualities of femininity and simplicity, quality and beauty. (read a little more about Katie here) And as we enjoy her pieces for Fall, we see that they are like a breath of fresh air—with a pleasing palette of purity, and the most gracious designs. Elegant, yet touchable. Beautiful, yet entirely wearable. Now if only a local boutique would introduce her line... I would be there in a moment's time!

Good morning! After such a wonderful and leisurely Easter weekend, I am feeling incredibly inspired and uplifted. Today feels like Monday thanks to the holiday, and what awaits is many, many things to do and fun in store—including a Fall 2011 fashion show. (preview video here) It is going to be quite the event, and I cannot wait to share it with you! As for this morning, do enjoy these vivid and Spring/Summer-like images featuring an array of table cloths, runners and accessories from Le Jacquard Français—a favorite of mine for a few years now. Aren't the colors and patterns extraordinary? Ideal for many occasions and daily rituals, like cozy breakfasts indoors with coffee, lingering lunches at noon, and dinners outside, surrounded by twinkling candles, beautiful music and close friends and family.
