Enjoy this film above—sent to me from my friend, Caroline. It circles around the idea of surprise and "that moment when you emerge from the Paris subway and find yourself in a new and sometimes unexpected world. This series has been shown all over the world and was recently featured in a full page write-up in the The Atlantic. The Sub City series explores the wonder in the humble experience of exiting the subway through dreamy slow motion and elegant steadicam cinematography." – The Atlantic

You gave me a craving for Paris again... Not that it ever disappears completely. And I adore every outfit on these photos... Why don't I live there?....

ReplyDeleteWow! I want it! I'm not sure if you know, but I'm pregnant (less than 9 weeks to give birth) and even though I'm LOVING my pregnant body, I can't wait to fit into normal, chic clothing! These has inspired me! Thank you!!!

I always felt disoriented coming out of the Metro but Paris is so special it was quickly taken over by amazement! I will have to watch this every now and then to keep me remembering :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful segment! All my memories of Paris came flooding back! I can remember being thoroughly confused and disorientated using the metro, only to pop out and stand in awe (sometimes in the way of Parisians in a rush) just to gawk at the breathtaking scenery.
ReplyDeleteThere's something so beautiful about this video - thanks so much for sharing Sarah!

love the video...brings back so many memories
ReplyDeleteLuciane: I did not know, but imagine that you would look lovely pregnant :) I know what you mean, though, about the clothing. Over the years, I've worked in a fine children's clothing store and often heard expecting mothers talk of what they look forward to wearing once they have their little one... you deserve a great new outfit or two at the least!
ReplyDeletesecondlastchance & Meghan: I remember being excited to see what was beyond the steps, exiting the metro. It was a little confusing at first, but fun!
Amazing historical buildings make a great backdrop for sophisticated photos.
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures. Am crazy about plum/cherry tones at the moment so this was just up my street!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful ending to the week and a relaxing weekend too!

ReplyDeleteA Lifestyle Thing: it truly does, doesn't it? The blue-ish tones of the building make the juicy, rich clothing stand out so well...
