Designer: Phillip Lim

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2012 RTW.

There have been a number of collections shown so far—from the definitive looks from Michael Kors to the always elegant Marchesa. Some have been quite bold, others quite soft, and this one by Phillip Lim seems nice, don't you agree? There are many easily wearable pieces—a little irresistible in a mix of almost androgynous combined with fluttery-soft cuts—created in shades of lavenders, pinks, yellow and pistachios, with bold hits of navy, black and white. A little elegant, a little cool-chic, and just as refreshing as freshly scooped sorbet...

  1. Dearest Sarah,

Finally I have a chance to blog and comment after returning home this morning by 2:00 AM from our 16-day trip the The Netherlands and Germany. Thanks for your comments and entry for the International Giveaway! Will post that when I'm a bit more fit... Midnight today it ends.
You are right about the fluttery soft cuts. The first two photos do show some design that is embracing the body in a flattering way. The others are just 'cuts' and not so flattering.
Different indeed but barely wearable for the average person.
    Love to you,

  2. Yum yum yum yummy. I will take one of each. Thanks.

  3. Very nice collection Sarah, Classic with unique understated detail!

  6. I do have a favourite, one I've fallen in love with: the third outfit. It's so elegant, so chic, from the sheer blouse to the knee-length skirt and gorgeous shoes. I would rarely wear a one designer look from head to toe, but this one I honestly would, including the hair style and make up. :)

  7. I absolutely love his work! So casual and elegant.
I hope that your week has been a good one, Sarah.

  8. Mariette: it's wonderful to have you back—I must stop by and see what is new soon! xx

  9. I love the gelato-esque colours in the first image.

    Andrea x
