One of my fondest Summer memories is celebrations—whether it is Birthdays, Anniversaries or just a Summer dinner, that span from the core house to the outdoors. Those lively celebrations that last well into the evening... with candles lit in the large tree's candelabra, lanterns dispersed on the deck, tea lights lining the courtyard and on tabletops, and glowing lights from inside the house... how magical it is. All of this came to mind yesterday evening, as I came across this beautiful "proto-barn" by FAS(t) that was built in the Russian countryside for a competition I believe. The delicate looking strings are actually chains, meant to frame the space. Quite beautiful isn't it? If you had one, what would you use it for? A cocktail party? A romantic dinner? Perhaps a conservatory of sorts?
