This weekend has been void of work and other obligations, and instead, I took a short trip up north with loved ones to beautiful countryside and mountainous areas to pick up a family member who was in training in the area. It was stunning and beyond what mere words could possibly describe. To feel surrounded by such grand mountains, waterfalls, rolling hills, cliffs, raw, untouched land, and a bounty of wildlife was such a treat. We were greeted and surprised by a near run-in with a beautiful deer on route up, and met with a terribly cute grizzly cub on our way back home. And though we had the camera and put it to full use, nothing could capture how one feels at the time. We passed by a number of lovely homes, some very rustic and others luxurious, which brought me to thinking of camping and escaping for a few days...
Camping Les Ormes. On 25 acres of open, fresh space they offer a variety of spacious pitches situated in the heart of the campsite, the forest or on the fields. They have an old barn that has been converted into the restaurant as you see, and even a "children's only" restaurant, in which older children can prepare food for fun. They have a lovely pool, tennis court, fishing areas, an animal farm, and much, much more. If you crave the beach, it's not far off—you many enjoy white sands and sun, sandcastles and relaxation. Or, stay in and have fresh croissants delivered right to your doorstep, followed by a relaxing afternoon of reading in the library. Or, if you crave an outing, you may take a short drive and explore a number of wineries, local markets and other such places... doesn't it sound like fun?
