Hotel: Masseria Alchimia

Ten self-catering, unique apartments.

Good morning, friends! I hope that you enjoyed a lovely Spring weekend. It was so beautiful out the entire weekend, I don't mind that there is a misty rain to begin the week with... it's almost refreshing, actually. Which brings me to this wonderful hotel that I came across this weekend, via Chic Retreats. They had actually listed it as one of the more budget-friendly options for places to stay in Italy, however, I was happy to discover that style and service is certainly not sacrificed! Below is just a sampling of their gallery of (a total of 91) images...

"Masseria Alchimia is a tranquil, small, designer resort on Apulia's Adriatic coast. In its previous life, around the 17th century, the Masseria had been a small hermitage. With only 10 studios, the setting is extremely intimate, there's no town or other hotel within sight. Surrounded by natural landscape of old olive trees, the Masseria Alchimia is an oasis of peace, an extremely pleasant and regenerating environment.

The atmosphere of the house and the surrounding amazing nature meet with a blend of design classics and furniture of the most famous contemporary designers, a conversation between old and new, between Puglia and the European modern way-of-living. Eco friendly, we employ solar energy, control water consumption and provide recycling facilities, offering a valid option for 'eco-conscious' travelers." (how nice!) Throughout the hotel and its perimeter, is a wide selection of ever-changing art, from photography and paintings to sculptures and even land art. A wonderful place for couples, families, or friends. Not far from neighboring cities, and just minutes from an airport, it is certainly one to bookmark for a beautiful escape...
