Designer: Jason Wu

Jason Wu Resort 2012.

Good morning! I hope you are having a wonderful Friday so far. A few of us felt that this week would be a great one, and for me, it has certainly lived up to that. I have a little spring in my step, so to speak, which will no doubt last through the weekend... but onto this beautiful resort collection by Jason Wu. His has certainly been one of my favorites. The well structured, tailored pieces designed in bold, dramatic contrasts offers quite a striking look —all elegant with a few more masculine-inspired pieces thrown in. The skinny belts and a few colorful handbags tie the look up so well, I find, finished off with beachy-ease, tousled hairstyles... though my eye goes from shoes to clothing, back and forth —both are so beautifully considered, don't you think?

  8. I love that last look, so fresh, urban and youthful!

I wanted to let you know I finally made it to Ottavio and it was a dream! It's the sweetest little café with great coffee, great paninis and great gelato. On one half of the shop there's a grocery section that has a great bakery (with real baguette!), a huge selection of cheeses and meats as well as a imported jam, coffee, tea and other luxury pantry items. Thank you so much for the suggestion! Honestly, I'm still quite new to Victoria but I can now say I feel at home knowing that such a place and such culinary finery is accessible. Grazie!

  24. Sarah, I have to say even though the clothes are lovely - my eyes went to the shoes and stayed there. I really really want the orange and black shoes from the first look ... they look like summer ... are they by the same designer you think?
