Vibrant hues and graphic patterns.
I'm always amazed at the very fact that I may have seen the same Kelly Wearstler room twice or even five times, and yet it still somehow surprises me. Perhaps it is her very unique and unmatchable approach—the very way in which she pulls together different colors, styles, feels, textures, etc. You can instantly recognize her work, yet no two spaces are alike. And with thanks to the sunny Spring weather and Summer approaching, I find myself more and more drawn to vibrantly paired hues. Richly colored violet and magenta that turn to red, toned down with muted cream and white, with a dash of metallic for glamour. Not my typical go-to style, but completely chic and divine—don't you find?

Dearest Sarah,
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks very special and might work for some buildings but I would not want to do my home like this. It would make me very restless...
Lots of love,
Mariette
Hi dear Sarah
ReplyDeleteI just love this burst of colour.. and the opalescent quality to the images.. The sheer curtains are my favourite. I'm currently having an obsession with sheers floating in the breeze.. hehe perhaps as they remind me of summer which has finally say goodbye down this end of the world..
Have a lovely weekend.. ciao xxx Julie

ReplyDeleteI have seen some of those images before, but not all, and certainly not together, so your selections have really enhanced the overall effect of the colours and textures used.

GORGEOUS images!
ReplyDeleteThis is so insane it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the tones. They all work so well together.
I know many are not fans of KW's eclectic style but I for one am a big fan. Kelly's rooms are like a case-study for advant-garde design. I've definitely got an itch to incorporate berry hues someday.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Sarah!
This makes me want summer fruit even more.
ReplyDeleteDumwit Tellher: I love how you worded that: "case-study for advant-garde design." That is so true!
ReplyDeleteKarena: I will stop by soon—thank you for letting me know :)
