Runway: Valentino RTW

With graceful lines.

Oh, Valentino... the utmost refinement of detail, as seen in the appliqué-ing lingerie-fine lace and knife-pleating chiffon to long-sleeved, slightly A-line dresses, offered in a lovely selection of nude, burgundy and navy. Quite the ravishing series of slim, covered-up lace dresses, and also, some more simplistic tailored pieces, such as that chic, all-black dress and statement leather trench. My personal piece of choice would most definitely be that intensely colored navy gown, with luxurious, weighty texture in the bodice, offset with the most delicate lacy looking skirt. Do you have a favorite or two?

  9. Thank the Lord that there are still a few designers out there who have their good sense left. Just when you lose all faith in the fashion industry, you get a show like this that gives you hope.

  13. My favorite is the black lacy cocktail dress with the bow, so quaint and feminine. But, I'd opt out the high heel boots and wear flats instead bc I don't know how to walk in high heels, hehe.

  16. Hmmm, I was actually surprised to realize this was Valentino. The attention to detail is spectacular but the design feeling is different from what I think of Valentino. Maybe I just always think about his signature RED GOWNS?

    Really beautiful either way.

  17. Sarah, I love the entire collection! I find the first dress selected so delicate and romantic. And the shoes! The strappy details at the back, the pastel colors, so beautiful and feminine. I like the fact that the attention on details was based on other elements than ruffles, as in the previous collections. have a wonderful weekend! Ada
