Interior: White Pigment

Authentic meets refreshed.

I hope you are all having a lovely evening! I must say, I am rather excited about a giveaway that will be announced quite shortly. But until then, I couldn't resit sharing this wonderful home with you. A large canvas of white seems to set the tone so well... the feeling is neither ostentatious nor cluttered, but a serene, open, light feeling instead. And though white is prominently used, there are surprising touchpoints of lavish color for interest and fun. (I adore the green vase) Recently renovated, I truly enjoy how some elements have been preserved so well, (like some of the wood beams and flooring) while others have been given a new life, with paint and a little work. It seems like the perfect retreat, don't you agree?

  5. I adore these rooms and somehow the shades remind me of a Pavlova meringue, that special white colour with light shades of creamy rose hues.

  6. Perfect retreat? Err YES! I just adore the whole white-washed look and wish I had done that in my house. I wasn't brave enough so went for a shade darker everywhere. Now I see all of these fab pictures I want to re-paint. I won't tell my husband that though. Do you think he'd notice if I just did it one day?! Lou x

  10. I really love the broken mirror mosaic. I have seen it before and think it is such an interesting and unexpected element. I would love to try it, but I would be too apprehensive about breaking a perfectly good mirror!

  21. I love how serene, bare and full of time this place is. The romantic air just radiates and I could see myself getting lost for quite some time with a very good book or a lovely companion. :) Lovely post Sarah. xo

  22. This space entrances me {is that a word?} I love white, white on white, and I've been looking around for rusty broken-in furniture to add to my new loft. I would love to find some stools like the ones in these images. Hope you had a wonderful weekend Sarah!
