A Signature Color
I hope that you had a restful, lovely weekend! Yesterday was so full of things to accomplish, I didn't have a chance to share some fun news and finds. First off, I wanted to mention a special thank you to the lovely Natalia for the Stylish Blogger award, (responses coming soon) and also, to Models Connect, for the interview and feature on their fashion and modeling-based site. Secondly, I couldn't wait to share these two beautiful spaces. The signature color is fabulous and creates such a statement within these elegant spaces—perfectly combined with gold, wood tones, a vivid orange/red, a green/yellow and of course, a pale, pale pink—relying on the wood tones in the first, and soft white in the second, to provide a neutral balance for such bold color choices... do you enjoy this color and the combinations, also?
+ this week's finds: a wonderful (new-to-me) illustrator, with a great style & also, couture country lifestyle inspiration / luxurious textures and colors to look forward to from Milly / It's so nice... being a lady / delicate, inky, silky, artistic tees to want for Spring, Summer & always / the very natural Elisa Sednaoui for the H&M Spring 2011 campaign / such a nice mention & advice from 18 Karat / for the type lover / architecture beauty: sleeping underwater / & also, a how-to: one of my favorite, go-to, easy chic looks for hair—a must try...

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for adding my post in your links, I really appreciate it. The other links are very inspiring, especially loved illustrator Maya Beus. About the gorgeous images, the second one is a bit of a coincidence since I happen to have saved it too last Sunday:) So, so beautiful and romantic. Perfect for a special occasion. Wish you a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteLove that bold acqua pale sea green wall--it's classic in so many ways. Hoping your week is going well--mine has been a bit hectic but hoping to slow things down soon!

Hi Sarah, thanks so much for the mention and kind words. You are a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI really love the second room. Often it's like taking an inspiration from nature: I often feel that a beautiful flower can give me my perfect colour palette. Nothing can work more perfectly than a soft rosy petals against minty green leaves. And the white makes everything alive.

Beautiful, Sarah. Reminds me of a apartment tour I once saw on HGTV (when it still had fabulous shows .. it seems like since the economy went belly up, they think all we want to see is how to organize or make something out of nothing ...) anyway, in the apartment of a few years ago (in a highrise) he used a verrrry pale blue green throughout the entire apartment. The rest of his color scheme was very neutral. He had all of this fabulous dark mahogany furniture that had been handed down from his (obviously rich) family and all of the upholstery on these pieces was white. The only other color other than hits of black in things like tiny black marble diamonds in the entry, was in the rich red oriental rugs. It was really yummy.
ReplyDeleteHi!!! This is just SO beautiful and fresh! What lovely colors together! Hope you're having a beautiful week!!!
