Runway: Donna Karan

Lovely looks from Donna Karan for Fall 2011 RTW, NYC

Good morning! I hope that your week is going quite well so far—I can hardly believe that it is Wednesday already. With so much to do, I have been enjoying just a few minutes here and there to catch up on the runway shows in Manhattan, and I must admit, I truly enjoy Donna Karan's classic designs. Not so long ago, we shared a common love for Angelina's beautiful looks on The Toursit, and I find that these outfits mirror the same elegance and grace of such looks. I find the ensembles, alluring, the details, intriguing, the fabrics, genteel, and the cuts, so flattering. Donna Karan herself is lovely, and by no means model thin, but designs well for women of different figures and ages. I especially enjoy how she has worked long, luxurious gloves into these different looks—such a ladylike finish, don't you find?

  13. This is what I think is the one of the best collections of Donna's in years. She's always done great things with muted colors, but there's something so luxurious about them in this group. I guess it's the genious mix of subtle draping and a little fur thrown in! So sophisticated, a little retro without looking dated, and definely for a woman, not a girl! Yummy!

  14. Oh I agree, very much like Angelina's wardrobe in Tourist. I just love looking at detail, the contrasts in the second last shot...beautiful.
