Style: The Tourist
Angelina Jolie's exquisite wardrobe in The Tourist.
For those who perhaps have not yet seen the film, I will spare you any revealing details, and instead, will focus on the incredible wardrobe of Angelina's character, Elise Creighton–Ward. Filmed in both Paris and Venice, the film captures beautiful backdrops which seem to perfectly highlight the beauty of Elise and her wardrobe. A tight collection of luxurious, seductive and beautifully feminine dresses, gloves, heels, caplet, gowns, clutches, and other fabulous pieces, have been pulled together to fit within the character of such lady. Everything from her classic, elegant hairstyle with curled ends to her luxuriously long gloves are perfection—brought together with an ease of style—nothing overly constricting. I have to say, one of my most favorite pieces is that lovely caplet, as well as the slim, Asprey of London's Regent clutch in gold satin. And yours? I would love to know your impressions...
... and also, to wish you a fabulous weekend! Do you have fun plans in store—perhaps a movie? Have you seen any movies this season that you absolutely loved or were intrigued by?

Dearest Sarah,
ReplyDeleteWish we all could go back to that time and era of class and elegance! What a difference that makes... The gloves, clutch and caplet is my favorite together with her up-do hairstyle and choker with earrings above that black strapless dress!
Have a great weekend!
Mariette
Mariette: Isn't that so? I completely agree... In fact, some claim that certain outfits here remind them of those of Audrey Hepburn. So classic...
ReplyDeleteso classic indeed, absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteSarah, thanks so much for posting good quality pictures! I've tried googling them before and failed. :( So wanted to see all the details and now I can thanks to you, sweet.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is going great! I had a look at your "I am presently" list - also can't wait to see the King's Speech! Looks like a great movie to watch. Also am really looking forward to seeing Black Swan. And at the moment it's just all about relaxing at home (the weather is very British at the moment) and having yet another workout shortly (which will most likely leave me feeling slightly dead for an hour or so:) )

I'm wishing his premiere in Spain, I ador Venice and I will like to see it,
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend Sarah,

Hi Sarah
ReplyDeleteI love the black suit in #6!! gorgeous.. and of course.. bella Venezia.. that alone will get me to the movies!!.... plus Johnny helps although dare I say he looks less than his usual yumminess.. maybe it's the hair!!
I recently saw Eat Pray Love.. and yes I know everyone loves this movie.. it does resonate with many.. but I have to say I was on the edge of my seat in the Roma scenes... I felt like calling out.. I know that street.. that building haha.. although I felt a little lost afterwards.. homesick for travel.. and probably homesick for the peace of mind she found..
Thanks for your lovely comments.. you are such a sweetheart.. I always enjoy my visits here too.. and your presentation is second to none!! Have a great weekend.. ciao xxx Julie
Hi Sarah, thanks for the comment - you are a sweet. I need to see this film if Angelina's wardrobe is this good! The shots are amazing. I always got that feeling about the 'Thomas Crown Affair' and Rene Russo's wardrobe - I couldn't take my eyes off her clothes! And her hair! But these ones look positively elegant. I think Angelina must like that look as it's echoed in Mr and Mrs Smith too. Classic. She is so beautiful. Hope you have a great weekend Sarah, Lou x
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of Jolie's acting, but I'll watch this one because of her wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are gorgeous.
Hugs
Tereza
Could she get anymore gorgeous?! Seriously... stunning. Love Johnny too but he's looking a little too scruffy here for my taste. I love her in that white gown w/ the red lips... beautiful. xo
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeletethe black suit...
to die for...
good post...gorgeous pics..

It truly was Jolie's character's fashion that caught my eye regarding this film (okay, and the fact that she starred across from Johnny Depp) didn't hurt either, but I look forward to watching it and taking in the feminine looks. Thank you for organizing these photos. Have a lovely weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteThat little caplet is amaaaazing! Beautiful photos of seriously beautiful people, although I agree with Debby...prefer my Johnny a little cleaner cut:) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteStunning...absolutely stunning. Oh that everyone would throw away their sweats and sneakers and embrace presentation in such a manner. I believe self-love would take over and many problems would solve themselves. Thank you...Angeline is simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSarah, thank you for your lovely comment. Your blog is amazing. I saw The Tourist a couple of days ago, I loved it, not to mention Angelina's wardrobe. I'm looking forward to posting an article about it. :)
ReplyDeleteSo stylish! Happy saturday :)
ReplyDeleteSo elegant!! And oooh...I want to see this movie! Happy Saturday!

I'm with Mariette (and you) - just love this elegant era. I love every single thing you showed. Love the capelet, the clutch and the fabulous black suit. I hear the movie isn't very good but am dying to see it for the scenery and the fashion!!

ReplyDeleteQuite like you -- which is why I've passed along the Stylish Blogger Award to you! :)
She was stunning to watch and her clothes...exquisite. the movie story however...very week.
ReplyDeleteIf you have not seen it yet, the most extraordinary movie to watch is the King's speech... Superb acting
Anita: thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteFrancine: I did not love the movie either, but am looking forward to watching the King's Speech with my Mum soon :)
She is oh so lovely, and I ADORE ladylike, that's just my style. I was on line at the grocery store though, and reading one of the tabloids about her, she's kind of a mess in real life, I think. Hmmm. Have the most lovely week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThe wardrobe is stunning! Great choice for a post on beauty!
ReplyDeleteAnd what could beT the backdrops of Venice and Paris!
Jamie Herzlinger
Oh my goodness- WOW! Flawless styling. She should dress like this more often-it really compliments her beauty! Can't wait to see the film!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely weekend!
Anna
I thought the scenery and wardrobe in The Tourist was lovely, Angelina looks impeccably stylish in every scene xx
ReplyDeleteI know lots of people didn't like this film, but I really did! Beautifully shot and, like you say, wonderful style.
ReplyDeleteThey were absolutely beautiful in this movie, especially Angelina. But the movie was horrendous, which is a shame because on paper it sounds like it should have been great with the cast. (Zero chemistry) I wasn't upset about it though because I knew it was going to be terrible.
ReplyDeleteJust stunning! I love her reserved, tailored style and the confidence is the best accessory!
ReplyDeleteCreategirl: I couldn't agree more! She has the perfect confidence for these looks :)
ReplyDeletewas browsing through some magazines and saw this girl she was wearing a long one shoulder wera wang dress, very greek looking , white Christian L-s , some amazing emerald earrings and an ostrich emerald coloured Hermes clutch, i found her on facebook ,look at this picture isn't she absolutely feminine and beautiful , i would say she has some resemblance to Angelina only softer features , Ollia Elokhina , sounds russian to me , but on her facebook it says London. Regardless, stunning girl. I will try post a picture from the magazine
