Fashion: Moncler

Beautiful mountain/winter wear from Moncler.

Good afternoon, and welcome to a brand new week! During Christmas and the celebration of the New Year, I did not have a chance to share some of my recent findings with you, and so I am very happy that things are somewhat back to normal and on schedule so that I may share the following:

+ Continuing on with our conversation from yesterday regarding street style, here is another wonderful find thanks to my David—a mysterious and very talented photographer that I hope will peak your interest as much as she has mine / a beautifully composed scrapbook journal / a warm thank you for this award as well as a favorite recent post from Maureen's blog / a fabulous café in Denmark / a guest post not to be missed! / wonderful gingham in identities / a lovely afternoon salad / chic knits / a fabulous little lunch bag / the new color (as per Pantone) of the year, as well as a coordinating guest post re-run (and here) / an interesting, yet addicting site / + lastly, a beautiful leather and linen tote that I would love to get my hands on...

  1. These are just fabulous. i adore Moncler. Remember wearing the ski jackets as a child when it was a company dedicated to real mountaineers. It has evolved into such a fashion statement brand.

  6. Dearest Sarah,

Don't blame you for loving that leather and linen tote! It resembles a little bit the leather and linen tote (though smaller) from Salvatore Ferragamo, that I got from my boss as a gift.

    Lots of love,

  10. I saw the camel coat with the squares on the bottom in person the other day.. the material is to die for.
My one issue with Moncler is the logo on the arm. I'm not that big on obvious branding and it seems like such a shame to stick a crest on the arm of an otherwise exquisite piece.

  11. Amanda: I literally thought of you when I saw that coat, wondering if you would prefer it :)

Suite Henry: I am sorry to hear that! I too am not a fan of overly apparent logos, much preferring a subtle touch so that the piece may truly shine, not the brand... I feel that if the designs are well done, the brand recognition will soon follow.

  14. LOVE Moncler! There was an article in the New York Times not too long ago about how they had to have a bouncer at the door of their downtown store! I used an image from this fabulous shoot as well - I think for my white post - such a great campaign.
