Decor: Wintry Fresh
Fresh white combines with golden and marine hues.
After much warm and rich colors have been brought together for Christmas decorating inspiration, I often find myself craving a clean slate—something more refreshing yet still perhaps warm in some regard. Sometimes simple touches prove to be just enough, whether it be with tabletop pieces and a rose, adornments to a chandelier, candles or a large vase...

ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, Sarah. The first image is my favorite. Such a beautiful table.

Lovely! I am enjoying the distressed look these days. Maybe I like the simplicity of it, the lived-in, been around a while look. Always nice to visit your blog. I'm sure you have seen the Pantone color of the year ~ they're playing our song ~ Honeysuckle Pink!

All beautiful - I;m with Teresa - I think the lovely table setting in the first is my favorite. I received beautiful glasses like that for Christmas (the ones with the gold) - mine each have a slightly different color in the bottom - they're exquisite - almost too pretty to use. But one of my resolutions is to not save my good things - every day is special!
ReplyDeleteI love everything on these photos with coloured glass pieces being my absolute favourite. Hope your week is going great, sweetheart! xxx
ReplyDeletethis looks so good!
ReplyDeleteStunning! I love the hint of gold in these too! Happy New Year also( a bit late:-). XX
ReplyDeleteSarah, you never fail to give us a daily dose of breathtaking! LOVE this! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beauty, Sarah. That tablesetting is heart-meltingly beautiful (can you imagine sitting down to that table?), LOVE the chandelier and that's the most interesting mirror I think I've ever seen! Hope your January is fab so far! xo
ReplyDeleteFiona: fabulous! couldn't agree more :)
ReplyDeletePaula Grace: I instantly thought of our posts when I saw the color for this year! Might have to re-look at them for inspiration for 2011! xoxo
Oh I love this palette! And those ornaments hanging from the chandelier are so gorgeous... beautiful photos Sarah, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Sarah! My house at the holiday is done up in the most luxurious, over the top palette of scarlet, black, gold, animal print and pheasant feathers in heavy brocades and velvets...very pretty, but after they are packed up for next year, I find myself looking early to a Spring of clean crispness. Just seems to help "clean out the cobwebs" so to speak, even if we still have many weeks of cold weather.

same with me... after oppulence i crave minimalism, after lots of color i need to rest my eyes on something not so vivid, and vice versa...
ReplyDeletebeautiful images... i love the colors... very comforting... and those glass drops look like honey!
i hope you are off to a great start in the new year! :) i wish all the best for 2011!
lots of hugs,
agnes
