Architecture: A Majestic Staircase

A curvaceous, classic staircase takes centre stage.

Good morning! A new week is before us, and my most favorite thing to do is begin it with much inspiration and a few teacups of coffee. I couldn't wait to share this beautiful place, above, with you—with so many great elements to appreciate, and such a vast, open space to find refreshing. I could go into great lengths about the flooring, wonderful furniture choices, and much more, but would love to know your impressions most of all.

+ this week's (many!) discoveries: glamorous crowns / jewel-box kitchen: a kitchen that is so perfect and so romantic / great design: a chic loose leaf tea strainer / fresh whites: interior inspiration captured by Christine Bauer / a dramatic, modern sofa / wonderful brights / for your desk: an unbearably cute paperweight / simplistic lighting that I just adore / unique candles: Mad Et Len, based in the south of France / tabletop: organically shaped ceramics / a fun wall / a lovely feature, and pretty pieces chosen by {this is glamorous} for Lonny magazine / an elegant fashion illustration (and many more) / my latest inspiration for my bedroom: great walls and artwork displays / party time: a look at a beautiful celebration / and lastly, a winter white tale to get lost in...

  2. This staircase looks like a futuristic flower from the ground floor (also love this floor!). :) So beautiful. Also like it how they added a red layer as a bottom part of each step.
Wishing you a wonderful week, Sarah!

  14. That first photo is just stunning. But, confession time, I'm terrified of stairs that are open like that. I'm always afraid I'm going to fall through or something (if only I were that skinny!)

  17. Majestic indeed! Judging by the floors and the tall windows this apartment must be located in Paris, yes?

As always I love the contrast between the very old and the very new. Look how lovely those white Eames chairs are against that ornate antique mirror.

Miss you! (What are you up to?)
