L'avènement de Noël: № 14

Beautifully colored and patterned knitwear—perfect for Christmas*

"Oleana started in 1992 in the hope of creating new jobs in the textile industry in Norway. Most of Western Europe’s production has been moved to countries with far cheaper labour, but we wanted to show that it is still possible to produce in a high-cost country like Norway. We have always tended towards alternative thinking and going against the main stream." (read more here) Ethics are at the root of their company, and that, to me, is most commendable and certainly not a small feat by any imagination. I love their knitwear—finding the designs, colors and patterns most irresistible... which one is your favorite?

  5. America really needs to get back to that frame of thinking. Outsourcing really has been the decline of quality, hasn't it?

On a lighter note, I love the rosy cheeks and berry stained lips in these photos. So pretty. Maybe I should try this look out this winter.

  6. Sarah, these are so beautiful! I love this store and used to see it a lot in Europe, but I think there's one in Beverly Hills. I will have to stop in if it's still there, I've forgotten how wonderful it is! Loving that second striped ruffley scarf and the pink and red blankets would be great to have!
