L'avènement de Noël: № 20

Rich, velvety reds and grand spaces.

I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! The countdown to these last few days before Christmas often leaves us slightly panicked, and so, it is important to take some time to relax and sit back for a moment and enjoy—even if it's five minutes for coffee. And so, to follow, some inspiration: sea & sky / a beautiful cover design for "A Tale of Two Cities" / let it snow, let it snow, let it snow / a lovely Christmas card / fabulous milk packaging / wonderful diy Christmas ideas / last minute: something for your guy / gorgeous limited–edition MAC makeup packaging /photography: a day out / a great wish list (and gift ideas, too!) / super sweet (and adorable, I might add) Christmas baking / via decor8 on twitter, something equally delicious, but this time, chocolate / soft inspiration: tufted &pearls / + lastly, thank you thank you for such a kind mention...

  4. I though immediately...this looks just like Christian Liaigre....I can't even think Christmas is upon us, I guess I have to wait until the 24th after my last presentation, then I will be in the mood. All I need is a little snow...

  6. Sarah - how beautiful. I love his work. Although I love all these deep colors, I was thinking along a different lighter line today!

  9. Beautiful calming spaces Sarah! Thank you for reminding me to take time and keep calm. Haha, so easy to spin into craziness around this time of the year--it's been a battle of the will to use restraint, as packages and appointments and manufacturing are being delayed because of the rain etc and the holiday is just around the corner...but it will all be back to normal soon enough, so trying to enjoy the days and the cold wintery beauty in the meantime :) Lots of cozy wishes to you!
    xoxo Mary Jo

  17. Dearest Sarah,

Via Cecilia I got here; lovely and informational blog! Love the indoor shutters shown in the images above, with the tassels on the long cords. For being able to close the windows shut gives a feeling of warmth, especially during the Christmas season!

    Wish you a Merry Christmas!
