Naturally Beautiful

Nude—Chocolate.

Doesn't she look stunning here? I truly love a really neutral palette for the face, focusing on the eyes, lips and cheeks in different ways. It took me years to find the perfect warm shade for the eyes—one that will brighten and at the same time create a really smooth, matte finish. One of my favorite things to do, though, come Autumn/Winter, is to gently brush a rich sapphire/navy just below the lower lid line... just a bit, and not to close to the inner corner, but more towards the outer corner. I find that even a bit can really intensify the eye, specifically if one has blue or brown eyes. Do you tend to wear more neutral or vibrant makeup?

  2. Sasha looks gorgeus in this photo. I hardly ever wear make-up. When I do, I tend to stay rather neutral, but sometimes I accentuate my eyes with Clinique quick eyes (a pencil duo that I've had at least for 15 years now, so that's how much I use make-up)... I think, what I use most often is a rouge for my cheeks... I love how a bit of rouge makes one's face look lively and healthy.

Also wanted to tell you, how you've touched me with your kind comments last night. Thank you so much, Sarah. :)

    Have a very nice week!

  10. What a face! My eyes are blue and I love bronzy-metal eyeshadow with a deeper chocolate in the crease and outer corner. Sometimes I add some deep purple or olive green in the lower eyelashes and smudge. My skin tone (pink undertone, light skin) doesn't really look good in pastels .. forget peachy shades (bleh on me)! Hope your week is fab, sugar! xo

  14. Agnes -- lucky you—I have always had fair eyelashes, and so, have had to wear brown/black mascara as soon as I could... and, as for the comments, of course! I really enjoy your blog :)

  17. Stunning face.

I am so a natural girl. I wear a lot of lip gloss and even there I go neutral. (I swear I look like an "Oink-Oink" when my lips are bright red!

    Any tips for green eyes?

    Love to you,

    Mon

  19. Love the neutral look - I frequently just use my blush/bronzer on my lids. And I also use navy sometimes - but on the underside of my top lip (under my lashes so it defines without looking like liner). Also just found a divine subtle plum pencil that I smudge on lashline of upper.

  20. I love the nude lipstick look - whilst barely there, accentuates the lips ever so slightly. Beautiful x
