Detail of the Week

Golden polish.

Ever since I was about sixteen, I have always had a French manicure each month. I love the polished, timeless look of it, but every once in awhile, I'm tempted to cover my nails in a beautiful shade... last year, it was a deep, warm grey, and this year, it could be gold. Perfect with subdued, luxuriously layered pieces, rouge lips and leopard print. (especially going into winter and Christmas, of course) If worn just right—kept short and crisp—it can be quite glamorous... don't you think?

  3. I'm with you except for me its always a French Pedicure. Without it I feel grubby! I switch up my nails alot, Sometimes I feel like a pop of red really livens up days when I have lots of work to do, it makes typing that much more fun.

  5. If anyone can pull it off -- it is you!

My manicure days with nice polish are all long gone! (: But pedicure is tahnkfully still on the program. And I don't mind a little bit of color glamour and drama.

    Love her chunky bracelets.

A warm hug to you. Hope all is well!

  10. OMG, I think the deep warm grey sounds lovely as well as the gold! I've never tried either one, but lately I've been on a nail polish kick so I think I must try one of these!

  12. Just beautiful - such an understated, rich style. The only wild flash is the gold nail polish, which is a perfect counterpoint! I wear gold nailpolish on occasion - I love it!

  19. Oh so glamorous! Definitely something I might try out!
I love bronze myself, and have for a couple of years used a cappucinoish bronze regardless of trends. When painting the town I go demonic red! ;)
