A Charming Kitchen

Comfort in the daily.

With cold Autumn days upon us, I look forward to early mornings, with coffee brewing and hot oatmeal warming on the cooktop. Though, I perpetually bulked at the thought as a child, and much preferred something sickening, sugary sweet, I now look forward to the warm comfort and habit of it. Bananas, raisins, blueberries, brown sugar, honey, milk—there are so many things you can add each day. And though I currently enjoy our kitchen now, I think this one would be lovely to wake up to, don't you? It's so nice having a tree or two in the kitchen and large windows... a bit grand, yet incredible homey and inviting in feeling. Though the space is empty, I can quite easily imagine a family here, with deliciously scented baking set out on the islands, fresh bread being cut, and stools pulled up for a coffee break...

  6. I am a porridge girl, too! Love mine with walnuts, honey, dried fruits and either banana or cherries. Yummy! Could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. :)
The kitchen is beautiful. My only (and very practical) reservation would be the floor and single glazing - not going to work over here unless the floor is underheated... Sorry for being soooooooooooo boring! :))) On the second thought, I'd probably just get a massive cardi and a pair of sheepskin furry slippers. :)
