A warm setting, a wealth of textures and plenty of comforts at hand.
As Autumn is in full swing here, I am on the hunt for a myriad of textures to warm up my space. Don't get me wrong, primarily I prefer a simplified, more clean space, but for Fall, I tend to crave some extra warmth. Textures like linen, taffeta, faux fur, velvet, etc. add such visual layers of comfort and appeal. While going though past magazines this last weekend, I came across this beautiful piece about textures—exactly the inspiration needed—and a soft, neutral backdrop is the perfect start to these spaces. Quite easy on the eyes, it can pull together pretty, aged florals, more masculine, subtle stripes, cashmere, and even lacy bedroom attire. The contrast in material pattern and feel offers the ability for one to feel at ease—enough to put your feet up and rest after a long day of work...

Layering up in comforting textures is the best thing about this time of year. Right now I'm on the hunt for the perfect winter coat.

I love that couch and ottoman. It does look nice and cozy. The sweet dog doesn't hurt the look, either.

Lovely, especially the bedroom. I've also been thinking of adding a lot of textures--faux fur, silk velvet and shearling to my bedroom. Beautiful inspiration!
