One of my Autumn wardrobe must–haves is a pair of black pants. Thankfully, I found the perfect pair at Michael Kors, with a slightly higher waist, top pleating and a thin belt. I just cannot decide whether to hem them above ankle or roll them. I'm leaning towards the hemming idea—so lovely with ankle boots. I'm not sure if I'm alone in this, but finding bottoms can be quite the challenge. What is the right ankle cut? Skinny, straight or 70's wide? Dark, black, or with tears? Long, rolled, hemmed, cuffed? And then it is an entire new issue of fit. I find tops so much easier, but am thrilled when I come across a pair of pants that feel as if they were made especially for me the very second I put them on... you know what I mean?
More recently, I came across this wonderful company, Brunello Cucinelli, and was instantly drawn to their collection—most especially and surprisingly, to the bottoms. Aren't they fantastic? Do you have a specific brand that you know you can always count on to fit your body type, or do you try several?
