Monday Morning

A Manhattan morning.

Now, I'm not literally in Manhattan, but mornings like this, those that are so crisp and smell so fresh remind me of my trips to NYC, mid–August, and waking up early. Isn't it funny how smells, feelings and tastes can bring you back to a memory? Even one that is as distant as four years ago? Waking up in starched white sheets, and my Mom bringing back a hot drink (at the time I didn't drink coffee) —it was such a comfort. A cool morning awakens the mind, at least for me, and jump starts my inspiration for the day. Combine it with a sunny disposition and you've really made my entire day.

I hope you make yours a little sweeter with some lovely finds, like: a new–to–me blog / violet inspiration / amazing work by Xavier Nicod... take a look / a delicate and exquisite crown / rural living at its best / the ultimate military caplet / simple, sweet and nice packaging / architectural beauty / a guidebook to pick up / so Fall, so nouveau chic / envelopes galore! / sweet dreams are made of spaces like this / must–have nail polish for Autumn / a fun salad shop / Beautiful inspiration and Chanel clad moments in... / and lastly, a vintage garland that is so beautiful and so romantic...

  6. Hi, Sarah! You find the most gorgeous spaces. These two are just so classic. Pure perfection. I would not have guessed that these images were from Shabby Chic. I may just have to run out and get a copy now. Happy Monday! xoxo, Ally

  10. haha, funny how when we're vacationing it's always me...I shower then with make up on, but wet hair - go on the coffee run (or in your case a chai latte :) I need a trip with you and David! It is time (in Rafiki voice ;) - the fall smell in the air this morning made me long to be on a plane with you two - oh where can we go, NYC, Montreal...Mazan...
