The Essential Blouse

Whether translucent, delicate, or sturdy / ruffled, layered, or simple.

Truth be told, I was counting down the days until I felt it right to be able share another round of beautiful pieces from SmokyAlice. (I'm still laughing as I write this) After emailing them, and temporarily, inordinately stalking their site as any true fashion lover might, I have yet to figure out how to purchase something... really, anything. I believe there is a chance that I have SmokyAlice addiction disorder. Can anyone understand Korean?

But now, onto the actual purpose of this post: blouses. Don't you love them? As Summer is in full swing here, I have begun to think about some of the Fall essentials that I would like to work into my wardrobe. For many years, I found myself purchasing on a whim if I came across an item that I liked, without consideration. Now, I'm far more methodical, and strategically plan out exactly what I will need—and a new blouse is at the top of my list. Some of the considerably classic stops include: Club Monaco / Burberry / Anne Fontaine / J.Crew / Acne, / Ralph Lauren /and Barneys. I have seen some lovely options from: Heidi Merrick / dace / Thomas Pink / and Leirsdottir. Do you have a favorite blouse or brand that you swear by?

  1. I am a blouse addict, so I totally understand. There's nothing better than the perfect blouse, seriously. So much so that I'm still perfecting the perfect blouse in my own line, lol. I have an Elizabeth & James blouse that I've practically worn out from last season. So I'm on the hunt for a new one...obviously I'm in need of a Korean translator! Love you post Sarah!

  2. i have a gorgeous kenneth cole blouse that i bought as my first "professional" garment after college. i love it because it's so easy to pair with a suit, but more often that not, i wear it with the sleeves rolled up, with skinny jeans and mega accessories.

  18. Korean speaker to the rescue! ;D

Well, not rescue as such since I bring bad news :( Only Korean residents can purchase products from Smoky Alice - sorry! If I actually lived in Korea I could have organized something with you but I'm in Australia, unfortunately.

I think you'll just have to be happy with the eye candy for now :)
