Claudie Pierlot

A new lookbook. A new reason to fly to Paris.

It's a rainy, cold Tuesday and all I can think about is Frank Sinatra... “But why should I try to resist. When baby I know so well. That I’ve got you under my skin.” Franck Sinatra, I’ve Got You Under My Skin - 1966. I love his music always, but especially as Fall is in the air... even on the most dreary of dreary days, his music uplifts and inspires. And, I'm feeling particularly inspired by this fabulous lookbook and collection—I enjoy the unique style and black bow details, don't you?

  1. I was originally intrigued by the I'm Parisienne label .. I'm always drawn to the graphic quality of black and white phrases on a variety of objects (one being dishes and when I spot one I cannot help but add it to my collection). And I've always loved bows and add a bow-like flourish often (whether it's in a scarf tied in a bow on my purse handle or a ribbon around my wrist). And black ... well, I always have to smile when I read "black is back" because it never left my closet. What could replace a LBD? So, you see, b/w image + bow detailing + black = had to go to the Claudie Pierlot website to drool a tiny bit more. Great post, Sarah.

  2. I Love Frankie and all of the old crooners, Great taste in music darling, and the post lovely. I am a big fan of slicked back hair especially if you can wear it, and especially red hair!
