SJP for Vogue, May /10







I nearly gasped when I came across this intensely glamorous photoshoot.

To be perfectly honest, I've never thought of Sarah Jessica Parker as a conventionally beautiful lady, but yet, there is something so beautiful about her. Perhaps it's her innate confidence and personality, gorgeous smile, or her ability to make everyone around her love her–She is certainly one of my favorite actresses! Beyond her fame, she seems to lead quite a normal life, per say. I was a little surprised when I saw her and Matthew Broderick's home in the Hamptons. Quaint, cheerful, understated, and inviting are a few words that come to mind. I suppose I expected something more glamorous, but was delightfully surprised, that under all the fame, gorgeous gowns and status, she really is a down-to-earth girl.

  1. I agree......not a conventional beauty but I have rarely seen anyone who can wear clothes like she does. I think she has a unique beauty and much more interesting look than most. Great Vogue feature, shall look forward to this copy and the movie (my guilty pleasure!). Xo

  2. My favorite part of Sarah Jessica Parker is that she isn't a conventionally beautiful woman, there is a realism about her that is very endearing. I also think she gets that about herself. These photos are stunning, I can't pick a favorite.

  3. Absolutely gorgeous! She does seem very, very grounded which is nice. I watched her on that show about discovering family trees (I think it's called Who Do You Think You Are?) and she was so sweet... can't wait for Sex and the City 2 as well! Thanks for sharing Sarah :)

  8. YAY! I've been waiting for these Vogue photos to be out and about in better quality. SJP... I love that she's not your typical beauty. It's so refreshing, and she's SO relatable, and that is why she is perfect for Sex and the City. So many women identify with her on and off screen. I love this spread... thank you so much for posting!!

  12. I think SJP is so elegant. And I love her grey colored eyes. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but if you watch her act, she conveys so much emotion with her eyes.

Seriously, i never thought SJP would look this stunning. Gotta credit those gorgeous dress. The run-down location for the photo op, even made these stood out further.

  15. I have my Vogue but have not had a chance to read it and now seeing these pics I want to forget about work and go straight to the deck with it! Part of her appeal is that she does seem like a girl next door who just loves playing dress up, just lovely!

  16. SJP is my personal hero...her career and personality always reminds me of that: it's never too late.

    She has been in show business before but Sex and the City was her real break trough...and she wasn't exactly 23 when it's happened...

    I love her and her character in SATC...I think she's simple and fabulous...and definitely inspiring!

  19. SJP is a very classy lady...and as you say, unconventional and down to earth...the feature of her home in the Hamptons surprised me too, but then again, shows how she stays true to herself and doesn't let Hollywood dictate who she is...She looks stunning in these dresses.
