Oh, Champs Élysées

Light and luminous, and exquisitely glistening couture.

"To breathe Paris preserves the soul"—Victor Hugo, Les Miséables. To breath in the very culture of Paris, the essence; the sounds, the smells, the sights, the feelings. Our senses guide our hearts and minds, and create lifelong memories, relationships and impressions. In essence, to preserve is to keep something alive, to protect and maintain...And why do we love it so? I believe it is because we want to savour all that makes it so special. If for nothing else, to re–capture the feelings and emotions that encompasses all that is Paris...Is there a city that makes you feel just this way?

Of note: Yesterday, I received a lovely invitation to some Design Week events in NYC, as well as a press conference. (I was so surprised! And blushing! ) Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend, but as Roseline of This is Glamorous said, it's "always fun to think of who might be reading". For those who visit, thank you for stopping by. Whether you stop by daily or whenever possible, your readership is very much appreciated...and with that, I wish you a wonderful weekend!

  5. I so agree with you about the senses - what a perfect explanation! A love how a scent can send me back in time - like walking into a library and the smell of books takes me back to grade school.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.

  12. I feel like a woman when I am in Paris. Of course, it doesn't mean that I don't feel that way when I am not visiting the city I am totally in love with, but it does make me feel special, like I am a beautiful woman on a date with the city. :)
Loved the photos very much, although must admit, the scarily over airbrushed face scares me a little. :)

  13. hello + hope you're having a lovely weekend -- congratulations on the invitations! so exciting + don't you just adore receiving them? much better than press releases :) the one invite most regretted not being able to attend was the one at anthropologie at rockefeller with margaret russell, keith johnson from man shops globe, and favourite aussie stylist sibella court -- would have been so exciting especially to meet sibella :)

certain you'll receive many more wonderful invites and in answer to your question, paris, paris, paris! xoxo

The dresses are beautiful and I cant get over how gorgeous the model's hair looks, so luminous and light. Why cant I have a personal hair stylist?? hehe.
