Lavande et Soleil

I'm loving this combination of warm gold, plush purples, aqua and bits of refreshing white, to carry us from winter into spring, and lighten the space up ever so slightly...though, a little pink goodness never hurts, either! I find that when January hits, I am drawn to soothing lavender personal and cleaning products, crisp white sheets, and plenty of natural sunlight...

Isn't there something so soothing and refreshing about lavender? It certainly is pleasing to the eye, but also has wonderful, natural properties that relax and calm – I like to spritz my pillowcase just before bed.

A Few Lavender Products to try...

* Method, all purpose cleaner
* Savon de Marseille soaps
* DIY sweet sachets

Are you a fan of lavender, and have a particular product that you love?

  1. unbelievably gorgeous images. and yes, i use straight up lavender essential oil every night without fail before bed...2 drops in my palms, rub together, apply to temples and back of neck. peaceful relaxation.
    but i am also a fan of the color.

  2. I love lavender the color but not so much the scent (too heavy for me -- I tend to go for very light, citrusy scents). The gold and lavender though is lovely together, I particularly love the Coach shoes with the lavender tights.

  3. Such beautiful images Sarah.
    Well I have been a lavender fan for eons... I have a cupboard full of essential oils and lavender is a mainstay for me. Lavender, spearmint and orange is a jet lag remedy [not that i need that lately] but has such a relaxing effect. I tend to make my own products with lavender oil rather than pre-made but there are some wonderful products out there for those that would prefer it.... a good dose of the colour works wonders too... but you probably cannot beat a few simple lavender sprigs.... Have a relaxing weekend... xx Julie

  4. Lovely! That larger photo with all the purple is gorgeous! It really does go perfect with gold touches though. I like lavender, but I looove lilac. I find it's a bit lighter and still just as relaxing... I could just inhale that scent all day, lol.

  7. Lavender is my all time favorite sent (everytime we see anything lavender all my friends ask if I'm going to get it!)

    I love lavender calendars and have a great lavender body lotion. Also, have an eye compress that is lavender scented!
