Good morning, friends! I hope that you have enjoyed a delightful past few days. It's been a great mix of fun and work for myself—ending in a beautiful, breezy country drive, picking up velvety dahlias along the way, and some dessert in birthday celebration...Now, onto some beauty to start your week off, and possibly inspire some new ideas...18 Karat is one of my very favorite home decor stores here in Vancouver. There are a few others that I like as well, but I adore 18 Karat. Though their product line is quite modern, when visiting their boutique, there is nothing but warmth and a lovely ambiance of fabulous music and quality furnishings. Their bold displays are always interesting, and they design a great deal of pieces with natural, raw materials mixed with metals and glass. (they even sell waterless plants!) From fantastic books of architecture and fashion to imported cooking products, their line offers variety, yet is carefully curated.
My current favorite piece, is this drop dead gorgeous chair—designed with both wool and leather. I would love to see it in a room with touches of vibrant green, yellow, or perhaps deep plum. (it's even more stunning live) Can you picture it?

Is this their catalog? It is absolutely beautiful, the styles, tones and displays are so fresh and inviting. I will have to visit next time I am in Vancouver.I may skip the ski season this year though, with the Olympic madness to come.
