Detail of the Week

I hope you have all had a lovely, relaxing weekend. I hardly ever get sick, but I'm feeling under the weather today, so I fear this post will be a fairly short one. Last week, while working on a fun guest post (coming up very soon—and I'm so excited to share with you!) I came across these incredibly cute, carved pumpkins and found them irresistible! Those scalloped edges would be fun to try. What do you think? I actually don't celebrate halloween, but I do enjoy what nature brings and the wonderful, hearty colors that inevitably follow...

Wishing you a productive and enjoyable start to your week
—Don't forget to treat yourself to something delicious!

  1. Darling, I hope you feel better soon. Take good care of yourself, drink lots of liquids and extra vit C.
Those photographs are adorable!!! I don't celebrate Halloween, but I love carved pumpkins. :) I do a "family" of different ones every year.
But these ones are so special. It takes a lot of fantasy and effots to carve them like that. There are some talented people out there.

Again, take good care of yourself and hopefully, tomorrow your day will be sunny, warm and wonderful!

  2. Oh these are so clever! Love the little scalloped edges. I also wasn't planning to do much for Halloween, but now I wish I could have a lovely harvest party featuring these.

  3. These warm colours of Halloween are the best of the Halloween event!!
Take care of yourself! I hope you will feel better tomorrow!

  4. these are the most amazing carved pumpkins I've ever seen! I hope u get better soon, Sarah!

  7. I absolutely love these pumpkins. I am going to try them this week!! I hope you feel better. Try some echinacea tea with ginger and orange peel.

  8. Love the first picture in particular and I think these would be gorgeous "vases" full of fall flowers for the Thanksgiving or fall table.

    Have a great week, Sarah!

  9. Averill -- I love that idea! Gorgeous! Must try that out :)

Thank you all for your comments -- I am drinking tons of tea, having soup + staying cozy all day!

  10. LOVE! Can't believe I've been missing these! Off to see more!

  11. WOW WOW WOW---truly stunning pumpkin inspiration.

  12. I agree, Blair. Probably the cutest that I have ever seen!
