Not So Mellow, Yellow

Lovely bits of yellow to warm and brighten your day! It's sure to freshen up the home. It looks fierce with gray, and pretty and clean with white. I could move right into this cozy place...it has been decorated in my favorite aesthetic: modern, new elements combined with older, European, more authentic and rough elements. (isn't that stone wall fabulous?) I think I could pack my bags for the weekend and quite happily stay here...maybe join them in the kitchen and enjoy some of that tasty lemon water :) What do you think, friends? Want to join me?

Have a delightful weekend!

  2. Imperial Yellow!
...is that high volume, intense hue that was used by Chinese royalty. It holds a striking pose juxtaposed against the dark, stormy sky.

  3. I love yellow with gray and/or white but I also love how it looks with the natural wood in this space (something I wouldn't have necessarily thought about)! It really brightens and modernizes the wood, which in turn tones down and warms up the yellow.

  14. Love the kitchen and its stone walls, it looks as it belongs in the South of France... After I purchased my house (old stable) I removed all sheetrock to expose the stone walls... love the feel of rough old stone with the contrast of clean concrete.
    thanks for the post

  15. I have always loved yellow, but I use it with other pastels like lilac, celadon, ice blue, and coral pink.
