Our First Giveaway!

In celebration of Haute Design's first anniversary, I thought it would be the perfect time to also host our first giveaway! I did a little shopping this weekend, at my favorite local boutique, Montage, to select a few pretty things that I thought you might enjoy. (All products are Canadian companies)

* Little croc basket knowing you creative ladies, you could find numerous uses for this handy little helper! It can hold a rolled magazine and slippers, ideal for guests, some fresh flowers, your perfumes, or even your office supplies. It's the perfect, chic little companion.
* Lilly Pilly Dream soakAfter a full day, enter a milky sea of skin softening mango butter, muscle relaxing salts and spirit-lifting fragrance. Soothing and pretty!
* Lilly Pilly LotionFinish your pampering off with this nourishing fragrant body lotion. Natural extract of cornflower fortified with vitamins A, D & E will leave your skin soft, smooth and healthy looking!

The Lilly Pilly (a product of Barefoot Venus) scent is a flirtatiously feminine floral with a kiss of sweet pea and finished with a sprinkle of soft powder. A fragrance that says, I like all things pretty! (Although it is quite feminine, the scent is not overpowering)

New, Weekly Series:

About a month ago, I was looking through some of the images that I have collected over time, and noticing that I have some really great detail images, more macro shots of fashion, home decor, industrial design, etc. So, I thought it would be fitting to create a weekly series, starting Monday, called "Detail of the Week" in which these close-ups can really be appreciated. I find with the style of my blog, I showcase more composition and images that capture an overall look and feel, without focusing on some of the more detailed items. I hope you like it!

  3. I am very thankful for your post on February 14th, 2009. I was checking your blog before I was going out with my husband for a Valentine's dinner and pictures of Paris came up. My husband asked if I would like to go to Paris sometime this year. I have not been to Paris and was squealing with delight. It has taken a little time but we have booked our flights to Paris in September. I really enjoy all your wonderful posts.

  6. Oh how exciting! And what amazing timing - I'd just finalized my bridal bouquet decisions and I'm carrying blue hydrangeas :) - loved the way you styled the shot!

It's almost impossible to pick one favourite. What immediately came to mind was the glamorous Mayfair by Ralph Lauren post. I've had this in my inspiration files for ages and I was thrilled we had it in common.
This week loved the gorgeous Chloe bags and your dream house - can I be a house guest? :)

I love this idea for a new weekly post! Can't wait to see what you come up with! :)

  7. We are in the process of redoing our kitchen. I thought the March 24, 2009 blog about SieMatice Kitchens was great. Exactly my philosophy on the modern kitchen.
