Amoungst the Garden...

What can be said? This collection of images, by the talented Rodney Smith, of course, reminds me of "The Secret Garden", with a pinch of charm and glamor. Beyond the overall aesthetic of these pictures, I quite love the armoire that is being featured! Wouldn't it be perfect in a large kitchen? I could see it showcasing beautiful, stacked plates, bowls, pitchers, glasses, teacups, pictures...the possibilities are endless.

Amongst the gardens,
amongst the trees
I feel at rest,
I feel at ease.

I hope you have a wonderful day...

I just love these - wouldn't the first three be great framed? Perhaps just thrown in on a varied wall of art and photos - very whimsical.

I think your idea on the vase is GREAT - you could coordinate the decoupage with your china or dinnerware of linens, etc. for a really unique look!

Are those Barbara Barry pieces? They have her signature look. Love the photos.

I believe they are! A reader emailed me about this post and she recalls seeing a few (the first 2 I think) images in a magazine ad. They certain express her style~

Wow! There is some serious color inspiration going on here! The deep, rich tones and shades of green are making me long for fall already!

Gorgeous photos! Those hedges remind me of all the proper Victorian gardens I've been touring here in the UK!
