Juicy Couture

What a weekend! I am thankful for the time away, the time to shop, and the time to have fun with people I love. It was the perfect and much needed time away. While shopping, I came across one of my favorite stores: Juicy Couture.

Admittedly, when I see Juicy Couture, my heart races. Perhaps it's the princess in me, or the love of all things girly, pretty, ruffly, and pink...despite my boyfriend's constant efforts to make fun of me and cure my princess ways, I simply cannot help myself. This weekend, I purchased a beautiful and classic, black leather Juicy bag, my very first. I have bought some pieces from their fashion line, and have found the quality to be fairly good, and I am hoping that their handbags are the same!

I spent about 40 minutes, wandering through the store, taking in all of the eye candy, that neatly lined the shelves. I was also very tempted by a gloriously, classic, kelly green cardigan that was so irresistible it nearly came home with me as well. Stationary, slippers, beach bags, dog collars, cell phone sleeves, everything seemed to be screaming my name! On top of it all, they cloud the mind with ongoing, sugary sweet messages: "tastes like couture", "have a juicy day", "live for sugar" (as if I'm not obsessed enough with sweets!) Can you stand it? Do you love Juicy as well?

P.S I am drawn to items with a very subtle or no logo showing...

  1. I actually really like a lot of Juicy's clothing (though not their velour track suits!). They run longer (good if you're super tall, like me) and have held up well. I also think their costume jewelry is a lot of fun and own a charm necklace of theirs that I always get tons of compliments on. All that said though, I prefer to stick to their pieces that don't scream JUICY COUTURE. So I avoid anything sporting their logos and sayings at all costs.

  2. I am totally with you, Averill! Subtle is always better in my books :) I much prefer even the tiny scotty dog as the only part of the brand showing. Not only is it very sweet, but it gives the actual piece a chance to show off the design and construction. I find that their leather bag collections are far more discreetly branded and offer beautiful details~

  3. I'm also not a big fan of obvious labels - but they do have some pretty feminine pieces.

  5. I'm actually not much for the clothes funnily enough - but I ALWAYS love their ads! That, and their charm bracelets... I'm a sucker for a charm bracelet.

  6. Oh yes, oh yes! Juicy is so fabulous, though I tend to prefer their simpler pieces, not so much the t shirts with writing all over them...though I can appreciate those for the uber glam southern california girl!

And I always love their advertising--one of my former co-workers is the art director for all their ads, and she's just as fab as you might expect!

  7. Sarah-I think their ads are fabulous. The JC look has really evolved and has gotten much more sophisticated. I like many of their pieces now.
