One of my most favorite blogs, Style Redux, had posted a great feature on showcasing your collection of shopping bags as art. (just as shown above) What a great way to preserve your favorite bags, that are far too beautiful to throw in the trash. I have kept a number of bags of the years that would work ideally for a display of artwork such as this...my first purchase at Saks Fifth Avenue, Ladurée in Paris, our local and stunning Holt Renfrew, etc. It's the wonderfully memories that are attached to these shopping experiences that have a hold on me as well—this is the perfect solution! Would be nice in a home office, bedroom, bathroom, or dressing room. (best option I believe) I wonder if it would work with shoe/box lids as well...although I love using them for ribbon storage! Do you have some bags that you treasure?

Thanks for the sweet mention. I have several favorite bags on display on the floor in my dressing room. My daughter displays her favorites on the top shelf of her walk-in closet. I have some beautiful shoe boxes on display in my dressing room as well. Some of my favorite bags are Hermes, Chanel, Bergdorf Goodman, Kate Spade, Ralph Lauren, Henri Bendel, Thomas Pink, and Betsey Johnson. Love your blog!

ReplyDeletebut i display my dior homme bags. silver with black ribbons that tie together as handles. they are the 1st thing i see when i wake up.

i seriously LOVE this idea!!! LOVE it. i have collected bags from all over the world and besides the ones my boyfriend has decided have taken up too much room in our tiny apt i had no ideas as to what to do with them.
