Eva Zeseil, a Hungarian Industrial Designer, is 103 years old and still designing. Perhaps you have heard of this world-renowned designer, who is most famous for her ceramic collections. "Her forms are often abstractions of the natural world and human relationships. Work from throughout her prodigious career is included in important museum collections across the world. Zeisel declares herself a "maker of useful things.". Zeisel currently resides in New York where she continues to design furniture as well as glass and ceramic objects." I learned of this talented lady a few years ago while I was searching for the perfect wedding gift: one that was ideal in today's society and needs, yet was timeless in its appeal. I was taken by a particular gravy boat that fit my particular needs but was so elegant, so modern and so unique, I had to buy it. No regrets, the couple loved it...my only regret is that I wish I would have purchased one for myself as well. I found this piece in a great store in Steveston called Nikaido Gifts. You can also purchase online, through Crate and Barrel here.
